Purpose

The Company Registration feature allows eligible users to register a new real estate company directly from the front end of the site. Once registered and approved, the company can be listed in the Companies directory, giving it a public profile that includes contact information, a description, and associated property listings. This feature is useful for agency owners or business operators who want to establish an official company presence on the site.

How It Works

When an eligible user visits the Company Registration page, they are presented with a form to fill in their company's details, including name, address, contact information, and a description. On submission, the registration is saved in the system and typically requires administrator review or approval before the company becomes publicly visible.

The system enforces several eligibility rules before granting access to the registration form. If the user is already registered as an agent, owner, broker, or other OS Property user type — or if they are already a company administrator — they will not be able to access the form. Instead, they will be redirected elsewhere.

How to Use It

  1. Log in to your site account. You must be a logged-in user to access the Company Registration page.
  2. Navigate to the Company Registration page from the site menu.
  3. Fill in the registration form — Provide all required details about your company, including:
    • Company name
    • Address (country, state, city)
    • Contact information (phone, fax, email, website)
    • Company description
  4. Upload a company photo or logo (if the option is available on the form).
  5. Submit the form. After submission, your registration will be sent for review.
  6. Wait for approval — An administrator will review the submission and publish the company profile once it is approved.

Practical Use Cases

  • New agency registration — A real estate agency owner registers their company on the site to create a public profile, list their agents, and manage property listings under the company name.
  • Building a company directory entry — A property management firm wants to appear in the site's company directory and submits a registration so visitors can find them, review their description, and contact them directly.
  • Establishing a brand presence — An operator who previously used only an individual agent profile now wants to register a company profile so all their listings and agents are grouped under a single company identity.

Key Elements on the Screen

Company name field The official name of the company being registered.

Address section

  • Country — Select the country where the company is based
  • State / Province — Select the state or province (loaded automatically based on the selected country)
  • City — Select or enter the city

Contact information fields

  • Phone number
  • Fax number
  • Email address
  • Website URL

Company description A text area for providing a detailed description of the company, its services, and its focus area.

Photo / logo upload (if available) An image upload field allowing you to upload a photo or logo to represent the company.

Submit button Saves and submits the registration form for administrator review.

Expected Results

After submitting the registration form, a new company record is created in the system. An administrator will review the submission and publish it when ready. Once published, the company will appear in the Companies directory, with a public profile page showing all the information provided during registration.

Important Notes

  • The Company Registration page is only accessible if the site administrator has enabled company self-registration in the system configuration. If the feature is disabled, visitors will not be able to register companies from the front end.
  • Users who are already registered as an OS Property agent, owner, broker, or other real estate user type are not eligible to register a company. They must not currently be assigned to an existing company as its administrator.
  • If the visiting user is already registered as a company administrator, they will be redirected to their existing company management page instead of seeing the registration form.
  • A newly submitted company will not appear in the public directory until it has been reviewed and published by an administrator.
  • Only one company can be registered per user account. If you have already registered a company, you will be redirected to your company management area instead.
  • Make sure all contact information is accurate before submitting, as this will be visible to visitors on your public company profile page.
