Agents List
[TOC]
Purpose
The Agents List page provides a directory of all registered real estate users in the OS Property system. Visitors can browse agents, owners, brokers, builders, landlords, sellers, and other user types, view their contact details and profile information, and navigate to an individual agent's profile page. This feature makes it easy for property seekers to find and contact the right person directly.
How It Works
The Agents List displays a paginated list of registered users, each shown as a card or list entry with their photo, name, user type badge, contact details, and social media links. Users can search by location (country, state, city) or sort the list alphabetically, by featured status, or in random order.
The site administrator configures which user types appear in the list (for example, only agents, or all user types). Visitors can then filter within those types or browse the full directory.
Clicking an agent's name or profile link opens their individual profile page, where full details, contact information, and associated property listings may be available.
How to Use It
- Open the Agents List page from the site menu.
- Browse the directory – Scroll through the list of agents displayed on the page.
- Filter by location – If location dropdowns are shown (country, state, city), select a location to narrow the list to agents operating in that area.
- Sort the list – Use the sort controls to order agents by name, featured status, or display them in a random order.
- Click an agent's name or profile link – This opens the agent's individual profile page with full details.
- Use pagination – If there are many agents, navigate between pages using the pagination controls at the bottom of the list.
Practical Use Cases
- Finding a local agent – A property buyer wants to find an agent based in a particular city. They filter the agents list by city to see only agents in that area.
- Contacting a broker – A commercial property investor wants to work with a broker. They browse the agents list and use the sort or filter options to find brokers specifically.
- Verifying an agent – A site visitor wants to check details about an agent they have been referred to. They find the agent's profile in the directory to verify contact information and active listings.
- Discovering featured agents – A visitor sorts the list by featured status to see the most prominent or recommended agents first.
- General directory browsing – A visitor new to the site browses all available agents to get an overview of who they can work with.

Expected Results
Visitors see a directory of real estate users that can be browsed, filtered, and sorted. Each agent entry provides enough information to decide whether to contact them. Clicking an agent's profile link opens a dedicated page with full details, properties listed by that agent, and a contact form (if available).
Important Notes
- The list only shows users who are registered in the OS Property system and whose accounts are active and published. Newly registered agents may need to be approved by an administrator before appearing in the list.
- The user types shown in the list (agent, owner, broker, etc.) depend on the administrator's configuration for that menu item. On some installations, the list may be restricted to a single user type.
- The default sort order (Random, Name, Ordering, or Featured) is set by the administrator in the menu item parameters.
- Agents must have uploaded a profile photo for it to appear. If no photo is available, a placeholder image is shown.
- Social media links only appear if the agent has filled in their social profile URLs on their profile page.
- The availability of the location search filter (country/state/city) depends on the site configuration.
