[TOC]
Agents and owners are the people responsible for listing properties on your website. Each property can only be assigned to one agent or owner at a time. You can create as many agents and owners as your business requires.
The key difference between an agent and an owner is that an agent can be associated with a company, while an owner cannot belong to any company.
Note: Only agents and owners can submit properties from the front-end of OS Property.

From the Agents panel, you can view and manage all agents and owners in the system. The list supports:
The list displays the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | Whether the entry is an Agent or an Owner |
| Agent/Owner Name | Full name of the agent or owner |
| User | The linked Joomla! user account used to log in at the front-end |
| Company | The company the agent belongs to (agents only) |
| Contact email address | |
| Featured | Whether the agent is marked as featured |
| Published | Current approval/activation status |
When an agent or owner has submitted a registration request that is pending approval, the Request to Approval column will show an alert so the administrator can review and approve the account.
To add a new agent or owner, click the New button in the toolbar. To edit an existing one, click on their name or select them from the list and click Edit.
Note: You must create company records before any company will appear in the "Company" dropdown.

When your Joomla site has more than one language installed, a Translation tab will appear on the agent edit page. This tab lists all additional languages (excluding the main language shown on the Main tab).

The following field is available per language:
Bio — Biographical text in the corresponding language.
Each agent or owner must be linked to a Joomla! user account. When someone registers as an agent or owner from the front-end, a corresponding Joomla! user account is automatically created for them.
To create separate front-end sections accessible only to agents/owners (and not regular Joomla users), assign a dedicated Joomla user group for agents/owners in the Configuration page. When group X is assigned:
The same approach can be applied to Company Administrators.
Important: OS Property does not automatically manage the case where a single user belongs to both the Agent/Owner group and the Company Administrator group. If a user is manually added to both roles, you will need to handle the resulting access configuration manually.
