[TOC]
The Extra Fields feature allows you to add custom fields to the front-end booking form. For example, you might want to collect additional guest information such as a flight arrival time, dietary requirements, or special requests.
To manage extra fields, go to Components → OS Calendar → Manage Extra Fields.
The extra fields list shows all currently configured custom fields with the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | Field ID |
| Field Name | Internal name (used in the database and email tokens) |
| Title | Label displayed to the customer on the booking form |
| Type | Input type (text, textarea, select, checkbox, radio, etc.) |
| Required | Whether the field is mandatory |
| Ordering | Display order on the booking form |
| Published | Published / Unpublished status |
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Field Name | Unique identifier (no spaces, no special characters). Used as the token name in email templates ({field_name}). |
| Title | The label shown on the booking form. |
| Type | Input type. Available types: Text, Textarea, Select (dropdown), Checkbox, Radio, Date. |
| Options | For Select, Checkbox, and Radio types — enter the options, one per line. |
| Default Value | Pre-filled value when the form is displayed. |
| Required | Set to Yes to make the field mandatory. |
| Published | Publish to show the field on the booking form. |
Extra field values are automatically included in the booking notification emails. To include a specific field in an email template, use its field name as a token:
{field_name}
For example, if you created a field with Field Name = arrival_time, use {arrival_time} in your email template body.
Extra fields appear on the booking form in the order defined by the Ordering column. Drag the handle on the left of each row to reorder, then click Save Order.
